Heesook Mun

Stylist and owner

Every cut is hers, start to finish.

Heesook cuts hair one client at a time, in a room of her own. Before she picks up the shears she looks at your cowlicks, your partings and how thick your hair is, because those decide how a cut behaves in the third week. She speaks English and Korean, and works Tuesday through Saturday.

What she cuts

  • Precision cuts
  • Bobs and long layers
  • Cropped cuts
  • Fringes and face-framing
  • Gloss and root color

A one-hour cut

How a cut goes

The same four steps, every visit.

  1. 01
    10 min

    Step 1: We talk

Before anything is cut: how your hair behaves, how you wear it and how long you like to go between visits.

  2. 02
    5 min

    Step 2: We look dry

Heesook checks your cowlicks, partings and density with your hair dry, because that is how it falls at home.

  3. 03
    35 min

    Step 3: We cut

Section by section, damp, with shears and a comb. She checks the line as she goes and again once it has dried.

  4. 04
    10 min

Step 4: We plan the next one

A finishing blow-dry, a few words on styling it, and a time to come back that suits your cut.

Cuts

Planned for how your hair falls now and how it will look as it grows.

  • First visit: consultation and cut

    75 min

We sit down first: how your hair behaves, how you wear it and how long you like to go between cuts. Then Heesook looks at it dry and cuts. This visit runs longer than the ones after it.

  • Cropped cut

    45 min

Short hair cut with shears and a comb, with the nape and sides blended by hand. For crops, pixies and short bobs.

  • Long-hair trim

    45 min

The length stays and the ends go: a clean line, light layers if you want them, and no change to your shape.

Color

A small part of the book, placed to suit the cut.

  • Color consultation

    30 min

A sit-down about what has been on your hair and the shade you want, with a patch test arranged if you need one. Nothing is colored at this visit.

  • Gloss and tone

    45 min

A sheer color mixed to your shade that adds shine and softens brassiness between cuts. Results vary with your hair.

    Book: Gloss and tone
  • Root color

    90 min

Color on your roots, matched to the rest of your hair. We start by going through your color history.

  • Face-framing highlights

    120–150 min

Foil highlights around the face, placed to follow the cut. Some hair needs more than one visit to lighten, and we say so at the consultation.

Questions

Before you book

Do I need a consultation before my first cut?

It is built into your first visit. We talk through your hair and how you wear it before anything is cut, and that visit is 75 minutes to allow for it.

How far ahead should I book?

Heesook books about four weeks ahead, and new-client openings are limited. If you want a particular day, book early.

How long does a cut take?

A precision cut takes about an hour. Each service on the menu shows its time.

Can I bring a friend or a child?

The suite is one small room with one chair, so please come on your own. A parent may stay with a teen.

How much will it cost?

Your price shows on the booking page before you confirm. How pricing works explains what sets it.

Where do I park, and how do I get in?

There is parking in the lot behind the building. Your confirmation message has the door code and the suite number.
